The Summer Solstice is almost upon us. The longest day. The shortest night. A moment when the sun stands at its highest point and the natural world is bursting with life, colour and abundance.
For centuries, our ancestors marked this turning with gatherings, feasting, music, storytelling and fires lit beneath the midsummer sky. Herbs gathered at Solstice were believed to hold special potency, and people travelled to sacred sites, springs and high places to honour the sun and celebrate the fullness of the season.
At Hedgemoor, we see Solstice as an invitation to pause and take stock of all that has grown within and around us. A time to celebrate abundance, connection, gratitude and the beauty of simply being alive.

Each element of our gathering is rooted in the season, gathered from the hedgerows, the coastline and the kitchen at Hedgemoor. Expect a feasting plate brimming with summer abundance, alongside herbal teas, wild fermented sodas and a deeply nourishing botanical hot chocolate for the close of the evening.
